Municipal Affairs Minister Rebecca Schulz warns she could dismiss members of the Chestermere City Council if they continue to act on disallowed council resolutions, which have been monitored by the provincially appointed official administrator. This comes after the Mayor contested the decisions made by the official administrator in September meetings which had resulted in six resolutions being disallowed. Minister Schulz cites a section of the Municipal Government Act that grants her the power to remove councillors or top administrators if the city does not properly act on the decisions of the official administrator.
