City council rejected the findings of the drafted municipal inspection report. The inspection followed a preliminary review which identified possible issues such as improper council meeting procedures and conduct, code of conduct infractions, and the sale of municipal property not in accordance with the Municipal Government Act (MGA). In a post on the city-run website, Chestermere Today, authors identified only as “Senior Administration” suggested that the draft report was biased and violated the principles of natural justice and procedural fairness. The Ministry of Municipal Affairs has not yet released the findings publicly and is reviewing feedback provided by the city council.
