The Chestermere city council launched multiple code of conduct investigations into its own members, Councillors Sandy Johal-Watt, Shannon Dean, and Ritesh Narayan. The investigations will focus on a Facebook post by Councillor Narayan about the CUI probe, a statement from the three councillors in local news outlet The Chestermere Anchor, and a joint complaint made by Councillors Johal-Watt, Dean, and Narayan to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs. The ongoing municipal inspection will probe issues with the complaints process for code of conduct infractions, improper council meeting procedures and conduct, and the sale of municipal property not in accordance with the MGA.
