The City is reporting itself to the Alberta privacy commissioner after Mayor Jeff Colvin inadvertently exposed personal information of residents in a report shared at a council meeting and posted to the City of Chestermere website. The report contained emails and names of residents who had communicated with Councillors Shannon Dean, Ritesh Narayan, and Sandy Johal-Watt, as well as the councillors’ personal phone numbers. The report was discussed in a closed-door meeting before council voted to unseal it for public presentation.
